Day 1 Barcelona
Welcome to the lively capital of Catalonia - Barcelona! Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in.
The remainder of the day is free to rest from your international flight, or explore the fantastic center of Barcelona on your own.
Day 2 – Barcelona
Gaudi Tour - Following breakfast, meet your private guide and driver and enjoy an amazing sightseeing tour dedicated to the world-renowned architectural works of Antonio Gaudi.
You start with a visit to the colorful Park Guell, where you spend some time strolling through its mosaic paths and enjoying the great city views.
The day is crowned with a visit to the astonishing Sagrada Familia Basilica - the most brilliant masterpiece of Gaudi that is rightfully considered the most recognizable symbol of Barcelona. After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 3 – Barcelona - Gothic Quarter Tour and Transfer to Madrid
After breakfast your guide meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you on a wonderful half-day walking tour around the most outstanding attractions of Barcelona.
Barcelona obtains one of the biggest and architecturally diverse Medieval districts in Europe. During the city tour you get to see Barcelona's Old Town called "Casc Antic" and its medieval landmarks.
You walk through the maze of old narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter that was formed around the Roman forum. Then you see the Barcelona Cathedral both from the outside and the inside, pass the former Jewish District "Call", the Sant Jaume Square, see the Generalitat Palace and City Hall from the outside, pass the Square of the King and the former Royal Palace.
You then proceed to the Ribera shore district where you see the Santa Maria del Mar church - the former residence of sailors, traders and craftsmen who lived and worked there in the Middle Ages.
The tour finishes on the most vivid street in Barcelona La Rambla, where you can take it all in at one of the open air terraces.
After the tour you are transferred to the train station for your 3 hour train ride to Madrid. Once you arrive, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Madrid. The rest of the evening is free to explore on your own,
Day 4 - Madrid Old Town Tour
Today prepare to enjoy a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant attractions of Madrid de los Austrias - the amazing old town of the Spanish capital that treasures historical monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Spain was ruled by the House of the Habsburg.
After breakfast you meet your private guide and set off on a journey around the city. You walk towards Plaza de Oriente, admire and then enter the gorgeous Palacio Real (the Royal Palace), see the beautiful exteriors of the Catedral Nuestra Senora de la Almudena and stroll through Major Street.
Next you proceed to Plaza de la Villa, pass through the always bustling St. Michel's Market and walk down the picturesque Cava de San Miguel. Your tour finishes at iconic Plaza Mayor and breathtaking Puerta del Sol.
After the touring is over you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 5 Madrid and Exploring Treasures of Toledo
Today you have a chance to visit Central Spain historical capital - the medieval town of Toledo. After delicious breakfast you walk to the station to set off on a beautiful train ride towards this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival, your local guide meets you at the train station and takes you on a city tour around the mesmerizing landmarks of the ancient Toledo.
During the tour you walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, explore the fortified city walls and see the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed medieval architecture, including the 13th-century Cathedral of Toledo and Synagogue (entrances included).
After the tour you return back to Madrid by train, walk to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Day 6 Madrid
Madrid of the Bourbons & Prado Museum & Train to Granada
Today you explore the so-called Madrid of the Bourbons - the 19th-century historical area of the Spanish capital.
During the tour your guide walks you through a chain of fabulous squares - Puerta de Alcala, Plaza Cibeles and three monumental fountains: Cibeles, Apolo and Neptuno, you proceed to the Spanish Parliament building You will then see the main terminus of the capital - Atocha train station and explore the area of the Golden Triangle of Art made up of three most important art museums of Madrid - the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia.
The highlight of the tour is the visit to one of the world's greatest art galleries and Madrid's top cultural sight - the Prado Museum. This venue houses a unique collection of fine art displayed in the halls and rooms of this 18th-century Neo-Classical building. You see the most significant gems of the museum's collection, including the famous masterpieces of El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Raphael and Rubens.
After the tour, you return to your hotel. Then you meet your driver and head for the train station. It is time to say goodbye to the glorious Spanish capital and head down towards the south of the country – a 3.5 hour train ride to Granada. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel for check-in and have a good rest after busy though exciting day.
Day 7 – Granada and Alhambra of Granada Tour
Welcome to Granada, known as the last stronghold of the Moors in Western Europe full of numerous historical sights and medieval architecture. In the morning after breakfast you meet your guide who takes you on a tour of Granada and its main treasures.
During the tour you explore one of Spain's most visited attractions - the Alhambra Fortress that used to be the residence of the Muslim rulers and their court. Get awe-inspired by its numerous arabesques, porticos, pools and Islamic ornamental masterpieces of its hallways. Taxi fare to travel to the sight with your guide is included. After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 8 - Seville - Transfer to Seville with Ronda & White Villages
Meet your guide and driver, then depart from Granada for a guided tour of Ronda, with some free time for souvenirs after the tour. Afterwards, stop for lunch at Setenil de las Bodegas (not included), and then head to Seville, passing through the beautiful white villages that capture the spirit of Andalusia. Private car transfer ~ 9 hours.
Upon arrival, you are accompanied to your downtown hotel for check-in.
Day 9 – Seville City Tour & Flamenco Show and Tapas
In the afternoon you meet with your guide in the hotel lobby and have a panoramic city tour of Seville.
Today you get to experience authentic Andalusian spirit in one of its most important cities. Your sightseeing program features top sights starting from the symbol of the city - the Giralda Tower that used to be a minaret back in the days. You then visit the Seville Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral that is the third-largest church in the world. It was built in the 16th century to demonstrate power and wealth of the city. Next on your list is the beautiful Real Alcazar of Seville - the oldest European royal residence composed of a group of buildings from different time periods. Cathedral and Alcazar along with General Archive of the Indies are registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
As a culmination of the day, in the evening you attend an authentic flamenco show - one of the most characteristic elements of southern Spanish culture accompanied with a traditional Spanish Tapas dinner and a drink.
Day 10 – Depart for Home

The Amazon

Day 1: Pitalito - San Agustín
Ground transfer from Pitalito Airport to San Agustín. Approximately: 45 minutes.
Lunch in local restaurant. Coffee tour at Finca La Cabaña: Coffee is an essential product for both the economy of San Agustín and for towns in this region, where the best specialty coffees in Colombia are currently produced. On this tour, we will visit an organic coffee farm to learn about the bean production process in a very authentic way, from the seed and sowing, until obtaining the final product. Our guide will be Luis Alejandro, owner of Finca La Cabaña, who proudly and humbly shows us the success of his work and that of his father, who began growing coffee here over more than 50 years ago. At the end of the tour, Luis will invite us to enjoy some of his fantastic specialty coffees with all our senses. Dinner in local restaurant. Day 2: San Agustín
Campesino experience in San Agustín: Enjoy a typical day on a farm in San Agustín, experience and learn more about the routine and lifestyle in the countryside. You will visit a rural house where coffee, milk, fruit, and much more are produced, and the farmers will show us their daily activities. Your day begins with a fresh cup of coffee as you meet your hosts, who will inform you about the day's activities. Then you start a tour of the farm, where you will learn more about the organic cultivation of coffee, beans, bananas, and other fruits, herbs, and medicinal plants. Depending on availability, you can gather some fresh ingredients from the farm to prepare a meal. You are, of course, invited to help with the cooking, which will give you insights into Colombian cuisine. Lunch included.
Visit to the Archaeological Park of San Agustín: Embark on a journey into the past at the Archaeological Park of San Agustín, one of Colombia's most significant archaeological sites. The park hosts an impressive collection of pre-Columbian sculptures and monuments that bear witness to a millennia-old civilization. Highlights include the imposing statues and unique burial sites, which offer deep insights into the history and culture of the region. A special highlight is the "Lavapatas" fountain, an engineering masterpiece of the indigenous peoples. Here, you will learn more about the religious water ceremonies and their significance in the daily lives of ancient cultures. The entire route covers about 3 km, with some ascents up to 70 meters, but the visit can be adjusted according to the visitors' interest and time. The transfer from the hotel is 10 minutes.

Day 3: San Agustín
Visit to the Magdalena Strait and Obando: Embark on a journey to the Magdalena Strait, a truly unique place. At only 2 meters wide, it marks the narrowest point of Colombia's longest river, which winds through the fascinating landscape of the Andean forest and eventually flows into the sea in the north of the country. Just a few kilometers from the strait lies the charming town of Obando. There, you will discover tombs reminiscent of those in the Archaeological Park of Tierradentro in Cauca. A small museum also houses ancient treasures older than those found in San Agustín. Particularly fascinating is the famous gold piece "Flying Fish," of which a detailed replica can be admired, as the original is displayed in the Gold Museum in Bogotá. Lunch in local restaurant.
Adventure in El Tablón, La Chaquira, La Pelota and El Purutal – Horseback riding:
Today we can enjoy the most famous ride of San Agustín led by an expert local guide who will take us through a circuit that runs through four archaeological sites: we will cross the rural area of the town to arrive first at La Pelota, where we can see three statues located very close from where they were originally found, as well as vestiges of an original mound. A few meters from there is El Purutal, where there are four more statues of which two still retain the original coloration that is believed to have been characteristic to many other monoliths in the area.
Following this, we will continue to El Tablón, an archaeological site where five statues of approximately 2 meters classified as female are exhibited, and where there is a small ethnographic museum organized by the residents of El Tablón township. We will then go to La Chaquira, an archaeological site where there are different human and animal figures carved into volcanic stone that look towards the impressive Magdalena river canyon, one of the most spectacular views that can be seen in San Agustín. To get to El Tablón we will walk less than 15 minutes, while to get to La Chaquira we will descend a hill on foot in less than half an hour, although the ascent back takes about 1 hour.

Day 4:Palestina - San Agustín - Neiva
Birdwatching at El Encanto Reserve: Discover the El Encanto Natural Reserve, a natural paradise located in the area of influence of the Cueva de los Guácharos National Natural Park, Colombia's first national park. This territory, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is a fluvial star and a treasure of biodiversity that preserves the high Andean forest.
We start early in the morning, departing from San Agustín on a journey of approximately 1.5 hours to the Palestina village, which leads us to the Reserve. This biodiversity sanctuary is home to over 270 bird species, including 7 endemic species, and more than 200 species of orchids. It's 4 birdwatching trails feature infrastructure designed for observation, such as observation towers, hides that allow silent birdwatching, and feeding stations that, after more than a decade of dedicated conservation efforts, have successfully attracted and protected various species. You will also have the chance to visit a stream that flows through the reserve, perfect for enjoying a refreshing river bath. The activity lasts approximately 8-9 hours, from departure in San Agustín to return, and is ideal for both seasoned birdwatchers and beginners. To make the most of this experience, we recommend bringing sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent, and comfortable hiking boots or shoes. Ground transfer from San Agustín to Neiva. Day 5: Neiva - Tatacoa-Desert - Neiva
Adventure day in the Tatacoa Desert: We will start our excursion from Villavieja in a tuk-tuk, heading to the Cuzco viewpoint in the Tatacoa Desert. We will hike approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in this red earth sector, and then we will transfer to the Los Hoyos area of gray earth. We will make a stop at the Ventanas viewpoint and explore the region known as the Congress of the Ghosts. After this adventure, you will have the opportunity to refresh yourself in a mineral water pool (optional - pool admission not included). We will return to Villavieja for a well-deserved rest. Lunch included.
At 3:00 p.m we will embark on a relaxing panoramic boat trip on the Magdalena River. Later, we will head back to the Tatacoa Desert to witness a beautiful sunset. As night falls, we will invite you to enjoy a dinner accompanied by artisanal cactus wine while observing the stunning starry sky of the desert before returning to your hotel. Dinner included. Day 6:Neiva
Contribution to our social projects: One of our goals has been to support social projects for our community through tourism revenues. Although the pandemic delayed it a bit, we finally launched this initiative in early 2023. We have included a donation of USD 5 per person in the final price of your trip. With the accumulated donations and our own contribution, we have funded our San Agustín Music School project. The project consists of establishing a free music school for children in San Agustín, Huila. The school started in September 2023. By May 2024, a selection of scholarship children, under the direction of two teachers, formed two musical groups that have already made several performances in the town.
